Photographer going wedding dress shopping?

After meeting several times with him we hired our wedding photographer last night yeahhh!!! As part of the package he wants to go dress shopping with the bridesmaids and myself. He explained that he does this for 2 reasons, one so that I will have that memory for my book, and 2nd he said that as we try on the dresses he will take the photo then show us (its all digital) so that we can see what others will see. He said that a lot of brides think that they look beautiful only to find that the dress actually wasn't all that flattering. Has anyone ever had this done? He doesn't charge extra for this and there would be no discount if he doesn't do it. He's a professional photographer that just happens to be a family friend so we are getting a really good deal.

if its not more $ then let him come, and youwill hav the pics for your photo album! i took my personal camera to take pics of my bf dresses. i would make sure your hair and make up is done for the album!! it doesn't have to be bridal ready but at least so you feel good about being in pics!
